I got a picture of me that i want to put over another picture, i want you to be able to see through me and see whats in back.I’m trying to download photoshop but there’s always an error occuring so can u show me how i can use it with GIMP or some other photoediting service.
Layers and transparency are the basic concepts you need to use. In GIMP, first copy one picture into another layer on top of another image (drag and drop from the layers window to an image window works). If you want to make the entire layer translucent, use the transparency slider on the layers window.
If you want to cut out an irregular area around the top image and make it transparent, it’s a little trickier. You can use the eraser to make the background parts transparent, or create a layer mask and draw on this to make it transparent (simple paintbrush drawing with black on the mask will work like the eraser, but you can also use other tools like blend or filters like blur). If you can find a windows binary of one of the 2.3 development versions of the gimp, there’s a new object extraction tool that is useful for this too.

The way to make that happen is to open the background photo and the add the next photo to another LAYER, layers it what makes this effect happen, you may have to play around with it a bit, but this program is like Photoshop, just not as big or doesnt offer everything Photoshop does, try it for free!

Layering is the way to go.
On one layer you have the background.
On the second layer is an image of you. You will need to erase the stuff you dont want in the second layer like everything around you.
Then lower the opacity of the second layer to 60% and see if you like it. play with it until it looks like what you are looking for.
paintshop pro has a free 30 day trial and its a million times easier to use than photoshop. I have them both.
