How do I use photoshop for toning manga?

I have PhotoshopPortable and I use to edit my manga drawings, but I don’t know how to tone. I don’t really know how to use photshop that well, it’s a bit confusing for me, so I’ll need easy step-by-step instructions.
I’m not sure what do you mean by saying "toning" but if you mean to darken up the blacks and make it more clear then go to "Image"–>"Adjustments"–>"Curves" and "Image"–>"Adjustments"–>"Levels"
